Prohibiting Dogs and Animals Running at Large - Chapter 2, ss102 - It shall be unlawful for the owner of any dog(s), cat(s) or household pet(s) to run at large in the Borough of Christiana
Leashing of Dogs - Chapter 2, ss103 - It shall be unlawful for the owner or custodian of any dog, while traveling on the streets, alleys, or public grounds, to fail to have the dog on a leash at all times, and to prevent the dog from entering upon the property of another, without the property owner's consent.
Animal Noise Disturbance -Chapter 2, ss202 - It shall be illegal within the Borough of Christiana for any person or persons to own, possess, harbor, or control any animal or bird which makes any noise continuously and/or incessantly for a period of 15 minutes or makes such noise intermittently for 1/2 hour or more to the disturbance of any person any time of the day or night regardless of whether the animal or bird is physically situated in or upon private property, said noise being a nuisance; provided, that at the time the animal or bird is making such noise no person is trespassing or threatening to trespass upon private property in or upon which the animal or bird is situated nor is there any other legitimate cause which justifiably provoked the animal or bird.
Curfew - Chapter 6, ss204 - Offenses:
1.Minor. A minor commits an offense if he remains in any public place or on the premises of any establishment within the Borough during curfew hours (Definition: Curfew Hours - the period of time bewteen 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning for each and every day of the week).
2. Parent or Guardian. A parent or guardian of a minor commits an offense if he knowingly permits or by insufficient control allows the minor to remain in any public place or on the premises of any establishment during curfew hours.
3. Owner, Operator or Employee of Establishment. The owner, operator or any employee of an establishment commits an offense if he knowingly allows a minor to remain upon the premises of the establishment during curfew hours.
Open Burning Regulation (Effective 6/5/2007) - Chapter 7, ss204 - After the effective date no person shall:
A. Ignite or feed an open fire for the destruction of refuse or in the conduct of salvage operation in any public or private place outside of any building
B. Cause, suffer, allow or permit the maintenance of any open fire for the destruction of refuse or in the conduct of a salvage operation on any property under his control ouside of any building.
C. Cause, suffer, allow or permit any person to kindle or burn any leaves, rubbish, trash, or any other materials on or in any public street, avenue, alley, or side gutter thereof, within the limits of the Borough of Christiana
Prohibited Acts; Violations - Chapter 10, ss104 -
1. Noise Disturbance Prohibited - No Person shall make, continue, or cause to be made or continued any noise disturbance, nor shall any person suffer, allow or permit any noise disturbance to be made or continued from or at any property, whether real or personal, that is subject to such person's right to control.
